Year of the Rabbit 1999 (Australia)

The fourth sign in the Chinese zodiac, the Rabbit was traditionally believed to live in the moon, where it mixed the jade elixir, also known as the elixir of immortality, with a pestle and mortar. The Rabbit is hence a symbol of longevity.

People born in the Year of the Rabbit are considered to have a tranquil and generous character, and a youthful and imaginative outlook. They are also soft spoken and welcoming, being fond of peaceful love life.
