Table Tennis

Table tennis, a game originated from UK, is a derivative of tennis. It is a sport whereby players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table divided by a net, using a small bat. Rather similar to tennis, except that it is played across a table, hence the name table tennis.

It is also known as "Ping Pong" after the sound when it's being played. Table tennis has been an Olympic sport since 1988, with several event categories.

Honoured as the "national game" of China, China has been playing a dominant role in table tennis, and the achievements made in the game has been a brand of the Chinese sports arena.

Sweden also plays an important role in table tennis in the world due to its traditional competitiveness in Europe.
