On 12 Dec 2001, at the 191st (special) Meeting of the Conference of Rulers in Malaysia, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, the Raja of Perlis, was elected the 12th Yang di-Pertuan Agong for a term of 5 years from 13 Dec 2001 to 12 Dec 2006.
His Majesty was installed the Supreme Head of Nation on 25 Apr 2002, with the title of Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin.
His Majesty was installed as the Crown Prince of Perlis on 30 Oct 1960 while he was still schooling, and installed the 6th Ruler of Perlis on 17 Apr 2000.

Counting down to 13 Dec 2016, have decided to share today and tomorrow prior stamp issues by Pos Malaysia to commemorate the installation of past Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
