Christmas 2003

Since the first Australian Christmas stamps were issued in 1957, there have been many depictions of the traditional Christmas story.

Same goes for the Christmas stamps in 2003. Designed by Indigenous artist, Sally Morgan, the stamp designs illustrate scenes from the story of the birth of Christ. Morgan's distinctive style and use of brilliant colour have produced a joyous set of Christmas stamps for the year.

The 45c stamp features Mary and the baby Jesus, the 50c stamp features the three wise men while the 90c stamp shows the angel appearing to the shepherds.
